Tips for a Successful Email Marketing Campaign

Email marketing campaigns are almost never done correctly. Most of the time they result in a low conversion rate and a high unsubscribe reaction from customers. What is more worrying is that in some instances they will cause the domain name to be recorded as a spam source and could get it blacklisted. Nonetheless, in order to carry out a successful emarketing campaign the key factor is to get subscribers to open the email and actually read it.

Indeed there are several elements that can help you create a successful email marketing campaign. Firstly, the email needs to contain specific details in the 'email subject' field and the 'email from' field i.e. it needs to contain your business name. The 'email subject' field should contain keywords regarding the content of the email, so it should stand out and briefly discuss the products/ services you are campaigning about. The aim is to give the reader the incentive to open your email.

Additionally you should always send at least one test email out to yourself (or several addresses) so that you can check the content, links and images etc are working and look good. If you have access to several email clients (i.e. Outlook, Windows Mail, Hotmail, and Gmail etc) you should send a test email to these as well, so you can make sure the email looks professional on a different software package.
